Joan Adams, Partner
Joan Adams has had a long history of consulting. She headed DITT, the consultancy arm of the French National Utility, Electricité de France. Joan and her team developed US market entry strategies for over 50 French companies. After successfully placing a number of French clients in the US market, Joan joined A.T. Kearney, where she was a managing consultant in the process-manufacturing group. There, she worked on Business Process Reengineering, Improved Quality, and Reduced Cycle Times for diverse industries such as: consumer goods, electronics, and chemicals.
Upon leaving A.T. Kearney, she started Pierian Consulting, a consultancy that improves operations in order to become more competitive. Pierian Consulting brings sustained and measurable success through operational excellence, customer focus, and competitive market strategy. She has worked on projects for the world's largest copper producer, a silicon chip manufacturer, chemical companies, UNICEF, and consumer goods companies, to name a few.
Joan speaks French, Spanish, and some German. She has worked on projects in Europe, Central America, Africa, and Asia. She has engineering degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and MIT. She also has an MBA from the Wharton School.
